"PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR COMMENTS FROM OUR CUSTOMERS"
"Thank you for your interest in our horses". Our ranch is located near Forestburg, Alberta, Canada. We offer top end horses at reasonable prices. We produce running horses, foundation, cutting and performance horses and take pride in the reputation our horses have for their quiet, kind and willing dispositions.
Our broodmare band of 40 is serviced by 7 stallions, including White Tie, Hydel
Doc, Vannah Valentine, Kaweah Cataco, Deans Jackie Bee, Almars Secret and Tie Em
Up.
We place heavy emphasis on starting our babies right. To this end, we foal all
our mares in the barn under video surveillance. The babies are given a
strong start by giving them and their dams stall rest and privacy for the first
critical 9 days during which time they are gentled and taught basic handling.
They are then raised in big, open pastures so they learn to adapt to each other
and Mother Nature. Colts grow and mature naturally, at their own rate. They
develop early hardiness. Every 45 days, they are brought in , haltered, wormed
and handled a bit to keep them gentle. You can see the strength of our
breeding program through viewing several generations of mares all on the same
ranch. This is a unique opportunity found on very few breeding farms.
Ranch veterinarians are Drs. Dave or Roxie Bell - (780) 352-8483.
We invite you to visit. Here, at one stop, you can choose from a variety of
award winning breeding programs. And your purchase will be guaranteed 100% that
you will be satisfied.

Bob, Betty and Colleen Coulthard

Tao Van Gold, Reg.#3912101
Betty,
Hello, we all made it home fine. Tao settled into the trailer well and has
really settled into life way up here. We are keeping him and that filly in the
barn for part of the day for extra handling and he is coming along awesome. My
Mom thinks that you must feed your horses very well, she can't believe that he
is only a baby! Another man stopped by and he was very impressed with Tao and
how is put together, how he moves and his pedigree, he would like to book 2
mares to him for in the spring. Another friend of ours is going to help me get
him ready to take to the stallion parade in March, he always goes and he says
that we have to take Tao so that they know what a real stallion should look
like. So I guess from everyone's reaction Joe and I picked out one heck of a
horse and you bred one. Do you have a picture of his dam? I want to put together
a 2 page information sheet on him and do some colored posters on my computer for
next spring. Saturday, weather permitting he is going to have a manicure and
bath and I have a friend coming out to take pictures of him. The only thing
about him is man he might be one of those gossipy old women because she sure
likes to know what is going on, his eyes are always watching everything. We put
him in one box stall at the back of the barn and he was pacing and pushing on
the door, so I moved him to the front, then he was as happy, because he can see
out the big front door. Whenever someone pulls into the driveway, there is looking out "his door" and just a talking. Anyways I had better go, I am going
to go work on my "med pen" and on Tao's pen some more tonight.
Take care and keep in touch

El Treya, Reg.#3912109 (Savanah Valentine)
Hi Betty,
Sorry that I haven't written sooner. Treya is the most amazing creature in the
world! I really mean that! She has had four training sessions (15-20 minutes
each time), and she leads respectfully, lunges in both directions, backs up,
whoas, and ground ties! My trainer said she is as smart as a whip! Nothing
scares her. She shows her something once, and she has it! Treya is so calm and
intelligent. Lynda Smith (my trainer) wants to show her in next years
futurities. There are quite a few people out there that would kill for Lynda to
have this kind of interest in their horse. She has a reputation for picking
winners and taking them all the way! I am very proud of Treya. Oh, by the way,
I am the one who leads, turns and backs her up! Can you believe it? I have
never been happier in my whole life!
Lynda has a fantastic reputation in the Western and Reining community. She was
honoured with Coach of the Year in B.C. last year. It really is an amazing
process that she goes through with the horse and the student. After years of
seeing people in the English disciplines man handle and whip horses, it is so
incredible to be taught in this manner. She teaches through body language and
respect! I feel so empowered! Not because I would try to beat the daylights
out of my horse, but because my horse RESPECTS ME!
The best feeling in the whole world is when I pull up to the barn, and Treya
sees me. As soon as I get out of the truck and start walking towards her
paddock, she trots over to me knickering. She actually comes to me for a hug
and a kiss! Oh, I love her.
Well, I have to run. I will keep you update!

After purchasing Tivio ( a not for sale filly), from Betty, after 90 days of
training by Dan Duckering, Dan highly recommended that she be put on the show
circuit. She has the 'eye' for the judge and a super attitude from a sound mind.
Six other younger fillies purchased are going for training, to check further and
they are developing very sound and good attitudes. Excellent horses to handle
and to be around. Very sound and correct. Thank you Betty and Bob for a fine,
classy, showy group of fillies.
